Poor experience with outreach team, lack of care leaving my friends husband to call out in agony. Refusal by DNs attached via the hospice to come out a give medication to calm him as they were due back 4 hours later and refused to come out twice in a short period of time. As myself and the wife of patient are nurses it was suggested we give opioids . An unprofessional suggestion . No help given for 20 agonising days ,except one night . His poor wife is an emotional wreck , and will never get over this experience, her abiding memory of her husband will be these last few hedious days. No duty of care given on information on funding . How could you buy in fast track care if you're not told your entitlement and the funding is not supplied quickly?

We had an appalling experience with very uncaring night staff, I raised a complaint with the director of nursing but we were never apologised to. We were also told all sorts of things, to prevent any further occurrence of our horrible treatment, would be put in place but it didn't happen. There are some wonderful staff there but sadly spoiled by a few heartless ones who make such a difficult time so much harder .
