Was recommended ‘Motivate Your Learning’ by a family member, I have a child in Year4 and was at the time not really thinking about a tutor but was keen to find ways of supporting her school learning. My husband and I had a virtual informal conversation with Symone about what she offered, how she came about tutoring and her success. My child has learnt so much since the first tutor session when she joined during COVID (November 2020). I was concerned that she would not be happy with the extra learning but after her first session she came back and said ‘I had so much fun!’ It being virtual has not hindered her learning and to keep a child engaged at anytime can be tricky but Symone has a unique quality that kids get. Symone is very knowledgeable about the education system and helped us identify areas that may have been missing that can be taught alongside her school curriculum. Symone @ Motivate Your Learning is clearly the best tutor I've ever worked with in preparing my son for the 11 plus Grammar and Independent schools exams. I have tried other tutoring centres but Motivate Your Learning far exceeds other centres and their methods. We joined Motivate Your Learning two months to the start of the exams and Symone performed magic indeed! I noticed my son's Creative Writing and Comprehension exercise skills needed a huge boost to get them on par with the standard required for the exams. At the point I sought Symone's help, I was worried that 2 months was too short to bridge the gaps but she said "Don't worry, I will help your son and he'll do great in his exams". Symone didn't just say those words, she meant them and ensured her words became reality!!! Reading my son's piece of writing after about 2 - 3 lessons with Symone, I had goosebumps. The quality of his writing has improved significantly and was far above the 11 plus standard. No words can truly explain how good Symone's tutoring is. Her knowledge and professionalism are simply world-class. Her quality of teaching continued to be excellent until the last exams. She is patient, thorough and communicates effectively. She starts by explaining the topic she was going to teach before proceeding to teach. Symone would go far and beyond in reviewing the submitted work. She would mark, critique and provide solutions for improvement. Her marking skills are the examiner's standard. Once after marking and critiquing my son's creative writing work, I sent the same answer sheet to his class teacher at school. The difference was 2 marks between Symone's and the teacher's score. This further reinforced my assurance that we were on the right path with the tutoring. From the moment we enrolled at Motivate Your Learning, Symone stood by us throughout the rest of the 11 plus journey. She was always happy to respond to any questions I might have regarding the exams and schools. No question was tricky for her to provide an answer to. She recommended books to aid the learning, helped with researching schools that we might be interested in, assisted with calculating the schools' proximity to our residence, sent best wishes messages a day before each exam...In fact, she's an 11plus angel. All Symone's effort paid off eventually as my son did not just pass all his exams, he smashed all of them with excellent results, which includes Academic scholarship!! I'd highly recommend Motivate Your Learning for any tutoring needs any child might require.
