Phoned the shop a few times from 5:45pm as I was stuck in traffic at Highbury Corner and minutes away before closing time of 6pm. No answer on the phone at all. Finally got to the shop, relieved, at 5:55pm - as it was before their scheduled closing time of 6pm. Door was locked. Man inside completely ignored me and refused to open the door. So, refusing to answer the phone to customers and shutting up shop early leaving customers out in the cold. Disgusting way to treat loyal customers. Loyal no longer!

This independent organic retailer has a very good selection of high quality products. I found there items that I couldn't find anywhere else. My experience with the vendors has been very positive and I particularly commend the gentleman I spoke with, for his dedication to health and happiness. With regard to the person who wrote the review about the masks, I would like to point out: I was in the shop when he entered and I had a mask on, so his claim that customers were not wearing a mask is superficial, at best. It's suspicious, for me, that someone visits multiple shops the same evening, to make a point and to have an opportunity to complain online. I have no relation to the shop, I am just a customer who discovered the place a week ago. I was standing where the soaps are and I witnessed the scene of an angry man, being aggressive to the vendor and threatening bad publicity all over social media. He demanded to see proofs on health conditions from the vendor when he was in no position to do so. The level of abuse, in my opinion of course, that certain people believe have a right to, is evident when pictures of a person are published online. Again, I am just a random person with no relations to the people involved, but I feel a "duty" to state what I have witnessed.

Last year I started practising herbal medicine and nutrition in the clinic above this health food shop. The shop staff are incredibly knowledgeable, warm and friendly and the shop has a good range of organic and health foods, supplements, natural beauty and green cleaning products.

Great local shop for buying plastic free. You can bring your own bags for bulk dry ingredients, containers for refills of laundry and dish soap and they have plastic-free body soaps as well, with prices reasonable.
