Genuinley a terrible experience and will not recommend. Chased James Deakin multiple times via phone and email and no response. I have been waiting for over 1 month and not even received a mortgage in principle. The last time I rang for an update I told them I will cancel my application and they promised someone will call me back. 1 week later and still no response. I have now cancelled my application and had to choice but to shop elsewhere. I also work in the property industry and would never recommend this company to any of my clients or business partners. Please do not believe the ‘positive’ reviews on here as I believed them and ultimately wasted over 1 month and still in the same position.

Really disappointed with Mortgage Light. A friend recommended this to me having received a good service. Unfortunately I didn't get answers back to any emails or calls from Alex. Should have had a mortgage offer weeks ago and now the mortgage market has gone crazy so I've missed out! I really wish I had gone with another broker.

Unfortunately I did not get a good experience with Mortage light. There was hardly any time I got through to my broker when I needed to and the communication was terrible too. I was dealing with James and I got my emails ignored. I was really disappointed and tried to be understanding. It’s all about the money for this company. Even though nothing was completed for me and after the stress I was forced to pay for no service. There are better brokers that will server and help you better, please save your self the stress.

My broker, Max Derry, was great. I wasn't in the easiest of situations and it was a long process but Max was very helpful the whole way through. He took time to talk through everything with me and was easy to get hold of with questions and constant updates, even taking calls from me on his days off. Can't fault the service and the end result was far better than expected

I have been trying to get a mortgage in principle off this company for over 6 weeks. I'm sure they can be good but I have been dealing with Michael and he has repeatedly ignored my emails, not updated me when things have happened and I've had to find out from his colleagues when I've called in, not to mention the weeks of no responses. Im actually really disappointed as I've tried to be understanding in terms of possible work load but I shouldn't be having to wait 7 days for a simple response, let alone 6 weeks for just a mortgage in principle. The manager initially seemed extremely apologetic but I've contacted her since to raise my concerns and I was ignored. Really frustrated and disappointed.
