Meg Carr
We had a group visit to Moray Archers. The group consisted of a variety of ages from six to seventy two, two disabled people, I am one of them. Andy and Lorraine were fantastic, they were funny, supportive and friendly, we had the best time. We started off with the safety precautions, then we started shooting at a target 10 metres away, I couldn't manage to shoot the bow as I have had a stroke, Andy set up a frame to hold the bow for me so that I could still take part. When we had gotten a bit used to that they pinned balloons on the target for us to hit. Then they set up some zombies around the targets and said that we had to hit a zombie in the head to kill them, it was really good fun. After that some of group, went to try thier hand at further distances at the targets, they got up to sixty metres, shooting bare bow ( with no sight on your bow). We finished off with a dueling match where some people fired at each other with special low poundage bows and arrows with a rubber end that looked like a tennis ball. Andy said if they hit they would sting a bit. Eight people had a go at that, we all had a fab time and really enjoyed our selves. We would definitely recommend it to anyone.
