Booked a table last night at 6.30pm for myself and my partner. We used to come here a lot and the staff used to be very attentive. When we arrived we were shown to our table, it was very obvious that it was a busy evening. It felt that we were being ignored and not getting the service we expected. We finally ordered our drinks, a starter and main course. It took 27 minutes from arrival to get our drinks and more than half an hour for us to receive our starters. The portion sizes have been reduced significantly since we first came here. Due to this we finished our starters fairly quickly. We then had to wait a further 25 minutes before getting our main meal. At this point we decided we would not bother ordering a desert as we were not prepared to wait another half an hour. We always usually give a tip when we eat out. But we both agreed on this occasion a tip was not deserved. We will not be coming back.

I do love this pub but the food let's it down. This is the second time I have had a bad tummy from eating there. Its obvious that a lot of it is microwaved as my bangers and mash was an over heated rock solid sausage.. the waffles were frozen still in the middle. They took it off the bill and were very accommodating . But I wont trust iit to eat there again unfortunately .. they are definitely struggling. I am in agony right tummy pain. They dont ask if anyone has food allergies either.
