    Oliver at the cashier department is really rude, he was rushing because he had to finish the job and he didn’t give me invoice as he was getting late to go home. When I asked him for the invoice he said he has to see other people and he will send via email. Was not apologetic at all of his behaviour.

    I had a consultation with Dr George Saleh who was fantastic however I was informed by the secretary the cost of the consultation and told any extra tests and costs that are required would be explained to me on the day. Nobody told me that any tests were chargeable on the day and they asked me to make payment at the end of the appointment which I did. I was then contacted by his secretary a few days later asking me to pay again. I was wrongly charged almost £400 by the hospital in the day. They agreed it was a mistake and Jawad told me it would be refunded. It’s been almost a month and they haven’t given me back a penny. Every time I call I’m told they’ll chase it. They ignore my emails and voicemails. Honestly avoid these thieves. It’s ludicrously unprofessional.

    Moorfields private eye hospital is a great place and in dec 2017 I had lasik eye surgery, the surgery went ‘well’. However I am deeply saddened to confess that, years on, I am not happy from the procedure and wish I’d never had it. I had a high prescription and a astigmatism and importantly I am a perfectionist when it comes to my vision. I have ok vision but it’s not as good as it was before with contact lenses and glasses. I have caused myself harm and this causes troubling thoughts. I am currently seeking solutions for these unhappy thoughts because I have them periodically and sometimes chronically. I have better vision unaided than I did before but it’s a far more blurry than I would like and expected especially in one eye. In general I have dry, irritated eyes and floaters in my vision and must do much more to maintain the health of my eyes than I ever had to before. Because of this, it’s hugely knocked my confidence, I regret it and I can’t find a solution, although glasses and eye drops do help a little, I would like to get contacts but all the ones I’ve tried blur my vision more. My family and friends have had this treatment with great success (one with moorfields too) and they are all happy and do not have any problems with their vision, but every experience is personal. Everyone at the clinic was super professional and did a great job and they were great throughout the process. Update- sept 2023 I have found that my right eye vision is blurry because my cornea has a flattened area. I have attempted to correct with scleral contacts but had mixed success and these are an expensive option. It is my opinion that I should not have had the surgery at all. I am unable to properly correct the visual abnormalities that I experience and have significantly reduced the quality of my vision. as I wrote in my last review, I sincerely regret having ever had this procedure despite its ‘success’. I had wanted a glasses free outcome and the same quality of vision i had before, this didn’t happen I now have no choice but to wear glasses which is depressing. Slightly blurred vision and dry eyes to manage now.

    A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! The hospital is scrupulously clean and every single member of the staff I encounter was very helpful, friendly and professional. Mr Alex Day performed cataract surgery on both my eyes. Before undergoing the operations, he made sure I was fully informed of what the procedure entailed and what to expect. He went through every single step of the process meticulously ensuring I was fully aware of what was happening at all times during the pre-op, op, and post-op. This allowed me to make an informed decision which was to go ahead with the operations. At no time he “over sold” the possible results and he stressed that because I have had laser done to me eyes 25 years ago, sometimes the results were unpredictable. A few weeks after the procedure I can affirm that the results are remarkable and my vision from both eyes has improved so much that I do not need the help of glasses. Mr Day has proven to me to be a great surgeon and his cordial and helpful personality made the whole process easy and painless. I will forever be grateful to him. THANK YOU, Mr Day, you gave me back my good vision. All members of Mr Day team are friendly, helpful and efficient. There is one person I want to mention above all others and that is Aurelia Iarca, Private Practice Manager to Mr Alex Day. Aurelia was there from day one, informing, supporting, helping and no matter how busy she was, she always made time to answer a question, resolve a doubt or just plainly to let me know she was there for me. I could call her at any time if I needed to clarify something. She is warm, friendly, approachable and most of all she is very efficient. A great asset to Mr. Day’s team.     I went with Moorfields for my laser eye surgery based on their reputation and despite the higher cost. My first surgery date was cancelled as the surgeon apparently got COVID. I was given two days notice but understood this was out of their control. I was given a new date several months later and reinstated my leave etc with work. I was advised if I wanted a different surgeon I would have to start the process again as each surgeon uses different machines and would want to do my their own assessment on my eyes prior to any op. On that basis I rebooked with Mr Stevens for 3 months later. Around a month prior to my rebooked surgery I contacted the assistant of Mr Stevens to see if it would be possible to amend my payment plan and pay more up front to reduce the amount of finance I needed. I then got a call back saying that Mr Stevens had left the hospital and they couldn't guarantee a finance option would be available. Had I not contacted them I wouldn't have found this out until a maximum 2 weeks before I turned up at what would have been the wrong location anyway. I was told having had to chase as I never got a call back that he never had COVID and at best they could give me some telephone numbers of other surgeons if I wanted to try someone else. Just absolute chaos! It didn't fill me with any faith and so I am no longer using them and will take my hard earned money somewhere else. Dishonest, lack of any customer care and incredibly disorganised.
