Full of helpful people if your new to having an allotment. It also has an excellent club house,run by volunteers, serving local craft beer, wine and more traditional beer and larger. You can become a social member and not do the hard work on an allotment.

Huge allotments accessible (with a key) from Canon Hill Park and Russell Road, and probably other places too. Incredibly quiet, peaceful and welcoming. Aside from a wander round the many many plots admiring their fruit, veg and other plants, there's also a pavilion in the middle with a bar in it, and the odd jar of produce to purchase. You don't have to have a plot to be a social member, and that gets you access to various events and talks throughout the year.
