FAQ

What is the student-to-teacher ratio at your nursery school?

Our nursery school maintains a low student-to-teacher ratio to ensure that each child receives individualized attention and care. The ratio is typically around 1:6 or 1:8, depending on the age group.

What is the daily schedule like for students at your nursery school?

Our daily schedule for nursery school students includes a balance of structured activities and free play, as well as opportunities for outdoor play and learning. We also provide healthy meals and snacks throughout the day.

What measures do you take to ensure the safety and security of students on your premises?

We take the safety and security of our students very seriously. We have strict protocols in place for visitor and staff check-in, as well as secure entrances and exits. We also conduct regular safety drills and have trained staff to handle emergency situations.

What is the teacher-to-student ratio in your Montessori classrooms?

Our Montessori classrooms typically have a lower teacher-to-student ratio than traditional classrooms. Depending on the age group, the ratio is usually around 1:12 or 1:15. This allows our teachers to provide individualized attention and guidance to each child.

How do you incorporate technology into your Montessori curriculum?

While technology is not a central part of the Montessori philosophy, we do believe that it can be a valuable tool when used appropriately. We incorporate technology into our curriculum in a limited and intentional way, such as through educational apps and programs, and always with a focus on hands-on learning and exploration.

Teachers are passionate and the staff is stable over a year. Our daughter is happy there, and parents too.

We couldn't imagine a kinder, more caring, loving, safe and developmentally stimulating environment for these precious first few years of our children's lives. We count ourselves so so lucky to have places and be a part of this very special community. We will be grateful for the rest of our lives.

Senior staff ignore concerns (their excuse is they are too busy to get through emails but can send out emails, three days later no response) . Staff are not honest about what children are eating whilst under their care (my child is fussy and would never eat “all” of mackerel because she would not even touch it!) your left outside the main door waiting for staff members for 10 mins+ for them to finally answer the door and then take another 10 to bring your child out to you, again excuse is busy or staff on lunch. My daughter is suppose to attend 15 hours per week, just about gets 5 hours..this is partly due to they cannot accommodate the times due to lack if staff/children ratio (but yet new children have started since then..i guess funded children don't matter as much!) and also due to the fact every time my daughters attended, she comes home very sick and cannot attend her next session. However, they still get the funding for the whole 15 hours despite me telling them to let the council know and it reflect her true hours so i can find alternative childcare with the hours unused. Having also read the reviews (some concerning) i have also realised that some 5star reviews are actually posted from staff members. *update* i was in fact correct and the nursery was receiving the full 15 hours funding rather than the 10 she was doing as well as during any school holidays which ended up as 92 hours (from what i can remember the area manager telling me) over claimed once they investigated! They had to repay that back to the council :)

Both my children have been at this nursery since they were 11 months old (now 2 and 4 years old) and have truly blossomed during their time there! All the staff are truly amazing – incredibly supportive, knowledgeable and place the well-being of the children at the core of everything they do. You can tell that they all really care about the children. Although my children have very different personalities, they have both thrived with the Montessori approach and absolutely love the nursery. We will be moving to a different part of London soon and I have reluctantly looked at other nurseries, all of which had very high Ofsted ratings, but none of which compared to the high quality of this nursery. We will be very sad to leave. I would highly recommend Montessori by Busy Bees South Lambeth to other parents. We just love it!

We have been really happy with this nursery from the get-go. Our son started here when he was 10 months old (he's now almost two) and like any parent returning to work I had all the anxieties of whether I was doing the right thing. They put my mind at ease. They were professional from the start and within a couple of weeks my son was walking in happily without turning around to say goodbye! Also the food always sounds delicious and healthy and we feel they have encouraged his independence in terms of eating no end. Plus he talks well, so really they are clearly doing a lot right (as much as I'd love to accept some of a role in this!).
