This venue is completely inappropriate for a residential area and has only done damage to the community. Despite telling local residents they wouldn’t serve shisha in planning permission, they have turned into a tacky shisha bar with the worst clientele. Every night (particularly weekends) they blast out very loud music. They attract terrible clientele who race super cars up and down the residential road and take up parking spaces. I hope the owners reflect these feedback and build a business that better serves the community.

Where do I start I have worked at monak for 9 days in these nine days since mid to the end of march I have not been lied to, not offered a contarct of employment and I have not been paid for my time there as a chef there, food hygene standards are extremely poor none of there foods are dated labeled and the Egyptian manager and the ridiculous owner must be deemed as incompetent liers aswell as the current head chef. I am now working as a chef in a five star hotel reguarded as one of the best in the world and my advice to any emplyees and customers is to stay clear of this place and I hope this business fails.

This used to be the best place to go to a couple years ago.. hadn’t been in a while. Visited about a month ago & it was so bad. As soon as I walked in bar staff shouted out “we don’t have a chef so the only thing we could make is a beef burger” unfortunately I don’t eat beef so I had to find somewhere else to eat. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a booking for anywhere else. The atmosphere was so depressing, there was not a soul in sight. I can now understand why nobody goes there anymore.

We went there on a Friday night and I quite like the atmosphere of the place. There’s a DJ but I could tell from her face that she’s not enjoying her job very much😂 Food were good and Sushi rolls were quite flavourful but if you want authentic Japanese sushi, this is not the place for you
