My Dad (Harvey Leon Crowell) & Mother (Evelyn L. Larson/Crowell) were stationed there. I was born there 12/26/1956. When we were stationed in Madrid, Spain (Torrejon Air Force Bace) in the "60's", on a 30 day leave, we went to see where I was born. The only thing left of the Hospital I was born in was the foundation!

My first experience of Sculthorpe was as a young 19yr old Airman in 1988 getting on the bus from RAF West Raynham to go bowling on the base. I can remember seeing kids play baseball too. Great memories of my time, and also drinking several Michelob. My bowling not so good.....haha.

My dad was in the U.S. Air Force when Sculthorpe had assets there...I lived in Stiffkey (1957-1960) and went to school at Sculthorpe. Have to say, 3 of the happiest years Ever. I loved the little town...I'd get my sixpence allowance and trot down to the sweet shoppe to spend it! And back then, there were remnants of a WWII English army post right there on the Wash... complete with old pill boxes. Great place for a lad to play!
