I booked an engineer yesterday and I was surprised to get one so quickly. The engineer arrived and he was well presented, polite and knowledgeable. He found the problem quickly and explained it clearly. I had to leave as i was taking my wife and son to a doctors appointment. I felt very comfortable leaving him alone in my house. Really happy with the service provided today. The engineer came on time and sorted out the problem with my fridge. He even fixed the hinges (which I did not realise were causing a problem) and gave me advice on how to defrost the freezer and what setting to keep the freezer on. George from Mix Repairs ably fitted a new cooker hood in our kitchen today. Our 30 year old cooker hood was obsolete and I managed to find one of different design to fit the existing 60cm gap. It was not a case of fitting like for like and George immediately assessed the situation and found the problems he was expecting: namely, the ducting on the new model was central, but the old model was off centre. He assessed that there was enough play in the tubing to fit the new model to the existing ducting and he also put in spacers to provide some distance between the top of the cooker hood and the base of the cupboard it was being fitted to. Again he realised that this new hood extended beyond the existing cupboard doors and the spacers allowed the cupboard door to open without scraping the cooker hood. A job truly well done and a very satisfied customer. I would have no hesitation in using Mix Repairs again. Their staff work from first principles. Service: Installation

I'd expect a reputable firm to check if they could source a part for the fault and model you give them details for - an alien concept to this mob. I accepted the £70 call out fee on the basis that any subsequent fix would only cost me the price of the part. After a two minute engineer visit to confirm details I'd already provided or offered over the phone I received an invoice bluntly saying the part was no longer in production so £70 for two minutes work was all that was on offer. Utter rip off, BEWARE
