Miss Radford has gone above and beyond to help my daughter get set up with her viola, despite the necessity to work online.. Miss Radford has a lovely manner which my daughter responds to well. She is gentle yet motivating. She communocates well and sets clear tasks, for weekly practice, so my daughter knows how to improve. I would highly recommend her as a teacher.

Annastasia is a great teacher. She has been teaching my 13-year-old daughter for more than four years. My daughter still finds her lessons fun and has continued to make good progress. It helps that Annastasia emphasises the importance of playing for pleasure rather than just to pass the ABRSM exams. The past year has obviously been tricky for everyone because of the COVID situation, but Annastasia has been very adaptable and has kept lessons going online. Also, as a sort of social event/demonstration of progress/confidence building exercise, Annastasia organises a twice-yearly concert. All of her pupils are invited and it’s great to see how everyone is progressing!

A very relaxed and focused teacher, always positive and encouraging and with endless ideas to make every aspect of learning enjoyable. I've played the violin since the age of 12, and have been delighted by the steady improvement in my playing and confidence since starting lessons with Annastasia after retirement. Equally at home with children and adults, she is highly recommended for all age groups and levels of proficiency from beginners to diploma level. Concerts to give all her pupils confidence playing for each are a regular highlight, bringing together people from every conceivable age and level of proficiency.

A very kind and skilled teacher who makes lessons fun as well as focussed. Masses of encouragement and dedication, which have really helped our daughter to progress. Annastasia's warmth and clear communication have been particularly valued in the on-line lessons she continued to provide when the schools were closed. A really first class teacher and musician.

Annastasia is an amazing teacher. My boys have both had lessons and attended ensemble group with Annastasia for the last 4 years. Annastasia keeps them motivated and ensures lessons are fun. She tailors her teaching towards their individual interests and needs and she has endless patience! They really enjoy their lessons and participating in the ensemble groups and they have made good progress over the years. We love attending the end of term concerts where the pupils get a chance to perform to each other and share the progress they have made. She was extremely supportive and encouraging when one of my children, at first, was very apprehensive and nervous about performing to an audience. Her gentle, sensitive and encouraging approach enabled him to go on to now play with confidence to an audience, without giving it a second thought. Anastasia also provides tuition in music theory and again she successfully makes this tricky topic accessible and interesting, whilst furthering their progress. Highly recommend!

Friendly and kind teacher who has built up confidence in our slightly shy daughter. Great progress over the year. I saw the lessons when they were online and they were a fun mix of pieces and little exercises to keep things interesting. Annastasia has always been very quick to reply to my email messages and very happy to give me feedback and answer questions we had about progress and specific techniques. Very happy.

Fantastic violin and viola teacher who always takes her time to find the best way to explain things so they’re fully understood. Looks for opportunities to give people a chance to play with others and perform so they can push on to the next level. Love the Saturday school as well as my private lessons (adult student). Would not hesitate to recommend!
