I couldn’t recommend this nursery enough. Quality of teaching is outstanding, teachers are extremely dedicated and passionate and children run into school happy and eager to play and learn. The management is excellent and they encourage families to meet. The result is a true sense of community where children feel safe and part of a big family. Our experience with both children has been just amazing.

Miss Delaney’s is a wonderful place where you feel like the children really come first and I would highly recommend to any prospective families. My oldest child just graduated from there, one currently goes and I will most definitely send my youngest. Miss Delaney herself is very involved in the day to day and was extremely helpful in our “big school” decision. She made the time to speak with me at length about the pros / cons of different schools in the area and what would be best for my kids. The teaching staff are all lovely, approachable and my children developed wonderful relationships with them. In particular I felt they handled Covid really well putting what is best for the kids first in the safest environment. Their curriculum is perfect for that age group, helping prepare for reception while also accommodating all the different needs of the kids without pressure. The other families I have met there have been fantastic and I love our post nursery afternoons / picnics in Avondale Park! I have been so happy with my experience there and look forward to many more years to come at Miss Ds!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Miss Delaney's Nursery. It is the most nurturing nursery. Headed by Miss Delaney, the teachers are all incredibly warm and fantastic at their job. The values my child learned and the level of education she was taught is amazing. Everyone is super thoughtful, communication is wonderful and everyone is beyond caring. I couldn't recommend it enough.

Highly recommend considering an alternative school. This school is poorly ran, mainly due to the character of the principal, Miss Delaney herself. She runs it a bit as more as her own little fiefdom rather than what's best for the children. They're disorganised and terribly unresponsive: the mere fact that Miss Delaney refuses to communicate any other way than by post is a perfect example of where her obstinate preferences take priority over what's best for the children and the parents. How can one react to concerns/issues, if it takes 1-2wks to receive a response? (this is not specific to covid issues) She doesn't take any suggestions onboard and is incredibly obstinate. Children often end up leaving part way through the term (or even before), and classes are therefore often not full. While the location to the park is lovely, the rooms in the building are tiny and claustrophobic, even for little ones. Schedules, extracurricular, care considerations, reviews, communication...all have a number improvements that could be easily implemented with no cost or consequence, yet are refused, simply because the Principal doesn't like change. At the end of the day, the school and the principal should have the children's best interests at heart. Sadly this is not the case at this school and you do not feel like your child and his/her education is not prioritised.
