Wasn't very cool or much available. Not much to do or see. Probably wouldn't go back.

Guided tours here by the resident Nuns. Check website for details. Fascinating history of the building and area going back to 600AD. You are taken around the grounds and to the Chapel. Not only a great way of finding out about the History of Minster Abbey but the Isle of Thanet also. I learnt that St Nicholas-at-Wade is so called because you could Wade across the River Wantsum to the mainland at that point when Thanet was a Island....fascinating stuff....

I have made many retreats here and always find it a place of refreshment, light and peace. I was privileged to spend Easter here this year and savoured the silence and other-wordly chanting of the Latin offices. What a gift this place is. People of all faiths and none are made very welcome. The garden is also a peaceful and beautiful place to relax in.
