FAQ

What is your school's curriculum and how does it differ from other preparatory schools?

Our school's curriculum is designed to provide a well-rounded education to our students. We follow the national curriculum of England, which includes subjects like English, math, science, history, geography, and art. However, we also offer additional subjects like French, Spanish, and Latin. Our curriculum is unique because we focus on developing the whole child, not just their academic abilities. We offer a wide range of extracurricular activities to support this, including music, drama, sports, and community service.

What teaching methods are used by your faculty?

Our faculty uses a variety of teaching methods to engage our students and support their learning. We believe that every child learns differently, so we use a mix of teacher-led instruction, group work, and independent study. We also use technology to enhance learning, including interactive whiteboards and online resources. Our teachers are highly trained professionals who are dedicated to creating a supportive and challenging learning environment for our students.

What extracurricular activities are available for students?

We offer a wide range of extracurricular activities to our students. These include music lessons, drama productions, sports teams, and clubs like chess, coding, and gardening. We believe that extracurricular activities are an important part of a child's education, as they help to develop social skills, teamwork, and leadership abilities. Our activities are designed to be accessible to all students, regardless of their abilities or interests.

What is the teacher-to-student ratio in the classrooms?

Our teacher-to-student ratio is 1:10. We believe that small class sizes are essential for providing a high-quality education to our students. With a low teacher-to-student ratio, our teachers are able to provide individual attention and support to each child. This allows us to tailor our teaching to the needs of each student, and to help them reach their full potential.

What opportunities are available for college preparation and placement?

We offer a range of opportunities for college preparation and placement. We provide guidance and support to our students throughout their time at our school, helping them to identify their strengths and interests, and to set goals for their future. They do not even deserve a star but I had to do so, otherwise, would not be able to do the review. This is not a school, I feel it is only business run by horrible gang. My daughter had a very bad incident at the school resulted in breaking her leg. This was caused by a breach of duty and through negligence by staff and management that allowed another child to jump on her from the train structure at a meter height, which was not supervised. No one knows what had happened or tell me exactly what had happened and when decided what happened the story kept changing all the time. No one was allowed to talk to us apart from Mr. Carl Bates, the headmaster, because there is no transparency at this school. He is so defensive, arrogant and aggressive trying to deviate from the subject to belittle of the incident and our suffering. This complaint went into stage 2 and when the Chair of Governance intervened, he was more aggressive and intimidating than the headmaster that he threatened me to go to stage 3 complaint telling me that I will face humiliation. I know now why it is said in their website last year they had only 2 complaints and sorted out at stage 2. The staffs have no sense of ownership. I removed my daughter from this school because this school do not have pastoral care even though they keep talking about it in their website. I want my daughter to achieve excellent results academically in a safe environment and not to compromise her health and safety.

Both my children attend this school and have done since 4 years old and I have nothing but praise for the school and the teaching staff. The only problem with the place is some of the parents that send their children there. Ignorant, entitled, self-centered and rude. Luckily this a small minority. I'd fully recommend MKPS for your child's education if you want great academic results and a safe, diverse place for your children to grow in.

I would have given zero star but the least available star is one star. This was my encounter with a key staff in this school. On arrival to the school for the feedback on the assessment of my son into the school. I arrived 15mins early so went to the ladies , as soon as I came out of the ladies, a lady pointed at me and a room and said" GO AND WAIT FOR ME IN THE STUDY". she did not even say 'please' or even introduce herself or ask for my name as a potential parent. She joined me in the room and carried on with no introduction of whom she was. The rest of the conversation was even worse, she spoke to me as if she was my teacher and I was her student. She was utterly rude throughout the conversation and showed no regard at all. She obviously did not read the application form because she did mention not giving me any fee reduction which I did not even ask for in the first place. I only found out her name and title the next day when I rang the school and complained. Behold, the lady is the headmistress of the school. I must say the registrar apologised on her behalf .

Terrible , terrible, terrible, school. The staff do not have any courtesy and no inkling of what customer service is about. The Headmaster is particularly arrogant and obnoxious. The way and manner he handled an incident was very shameful. I have heard horrible stories about the staff and the way they treat and talk to parents but thought the stories were quite far fetched! It was exactly like people said if not worse! Not a school i would recommend to anyone at this point. No star at all, unfortunately cannot post until i click on one!
