The MKC rail station is located in a transport hub, so that you step out of the station to conveniently placed bus stops and a taxi rank. There are lots of shops for food and drink inside and outside the station. There's an accessible toilet (out of order on the day I visited) in the ticket hall, lifts as well as stairs to the platforms, plus free toilets on platform 1. Currently (Sept. 2022), there's an art project installation just outside the station, in Station Square.
