    Went to the shop over the weekend with my partner. I was saddened to see the poor state of the outside fish. A few gasping for air, underweight and the water was frothy. We showed my uncle a picture.. He said this was poor water quality and due to too much protein in the water. Rang today to complain but no answer. Please look after the fish. Was upsetting to see.

    Wow, what can I say,I'd heard about the new revamp store and have to say, the whole place was immaculate obviously in mind this is a fully working shop,Rachel was very very helpful,her knowledge was impeccable,being in the the Aquatics industry myself for 15years I have to say I was very impressed. A great variety throughout the store, will definitely be revisiting again. Makes a joy to see people taking such pride and joy in their shop. Highly recommend.

    Dirty tanks! No knowledge on aquatics! Avoid You’ve asked for a response.. I read the reviews and it led me to believe this was a specialist shop, in my experience, it absolutely wasn’t. Re the dirty tanks, the marine section was certainly far from being clean, more than a few painfully skinny fish too. But my main interest is corals, and the coral tank was filthy, but more concerning was that the very limited selection of corals were partly smothered in a horrendous combination of hair algae, loads of asterina, a few aiptasia, even a few flatworms, so even if there was anything of interest in there (which there wasn’t) there is no way I would risk introducing any of these to my tank. I dread to think what the water quality is like in there. I also looked at the pond fish, and the side where the koi are was clearly not right, a couple of dead / dying fish, and plenty more hanging on the surface, clearly not happy. No signs saying they weren’t for sale, so I assume an unsuspecting customer could have Been able to purchase these fish?! Maybe this is an average old school garden centre run fish section that I thought had mostly died out, maybe beginners will find something here until they get more into the hobby, but it’s certainly not the specialist shop it claims to be once you know what you are looking at. Like I said, I wouldn’t introduce anything from yours in to my tanks!

    I have been keeping fish for over 30 years now and have used many different shops around this area some good and some not so good and I have to put this shop at the top of my list the tanks are always clean the fish are healthy and there is always a wide selection of fish to choose from. the staff are always welcoming and helpful and know what they're talking about and the prices of the fish and equipment is very reasonable I must say I'm very impressed. Keep up the good work
