Apart from a few stains on the carpet and a frying pan fit only for the bin, the accommodation was excellent. Lovely, new luxury vans with wrap around, gated decking. The hot tub was lovely although the control panel needs replacing as it was so rubbed off most of the buttons were illegible. All the gentlemen who visited twice daily to attend to the water quality control were friendly and helpful but one in particular kept leaving the gate wide open; we nearly lost our dog on a couple of occasions as a result. They really should shut and latch the gate when they leave especially if they found it that way. Some initial instruction on the hot tub and its various settings would be useful too. I only discovered a couple of things by accident towards the end of our stay and one important thing only by chance after a comment to the hot tub guy who then showed us something important. The site is a quiet one with no arcade or shop (Lidl 2 mins from the end of the drive though). The entertainment was limited but Bill and Madison deserve a special short out for their hard work and fun, friendly demeanor even when they only had a very limited audience. The swimming pool is lovely but the booking system is restrictive and doesn't allow for spontaneity. Sarah, the life guard, was lovely though and a credit to Mill Rythe. We didn't eat in either restaurant so can't comment but £4.10 for a diet coke meant we didn't return for a second drink either. All the staff were very friendly and professional; an area Mill Rythe really excel at. Overall a great stay but we would prefer to just be able to swim without having to plan it weeks in advance and would have expected some outside entertainment once in a while - a band, singer, comedian etc.

The site is new and very clean and modern. We stayed in an exclusive lodge with a hot tub which was done to a very high standard and the welcome pack was a lovely added touch. However it’s very quiet site. During our 4 day stay there was only food available on site Monday & Tuesday 5pm till 9pm. Drinks were available every day but only 5pm till 10pm. The food was good but expensive. The swimming pool was only open Tuesday & Thursday with only a 45 min slot. There is no shop or arcade, cafe and little entertainment on. If you are looking for a high end accommodation on a well kept quiet site it’s for you but if you want a place with more going on it’s not ready just yet. As I understand this is phase 1 opening and phase 2 will bring an lot more facilities etc. Staff are great & a credit to the site.
