We booked for the whole day for our wedding. The music was great it kept everyone up and dancing all night. My only small thing that could maybe looked at to be improved would be the ceremony music couldn’t be heard very well not sure if it just needed turning up. But I still give 5 stars as it was a minor thing for us.

The portal used to add music to was easy to use and you could add songs or artists that you didn't want to hear as well. The evening went very smoothly and he played all the songs requested and made the music flow well. He read the room and changed the music accordingly. Would recommend 👍🏻

From start to finish,at our wedding on 10.02.2023, John was so helpful and listened to what we wanted. I've had djs before who told me what songs they would play, but John gave us alot of helpful input and listened to us. Would definately recommend. Thank you for helping to make our day magical xx

Myself and Daniel booked John for our wedding which was Friday. To be honest we weren’t too impressed. To start with John hadn’t contacted either of us prior to the wedding, it was myself who had to chase him up. It got to less than a week before our big day and we’d heard nothing from him so I sent over all our music for the day with instructions for them all to help him. On the day of our wedding I had my Maid of Honour go and check he had everything ok and knew what he was doing, which he said he did. When he first arrived he played a Mariah Carey christmas song whilst guests were there! For walking down the aisle he started the song at the wrong point when we had worked out when the bridesmaid and myself would start walking so that threw everything off! We couldn’t hear the song when it came to walking back down the aisle together. The music for our wedding breakfast entrance was still playing quietly whilst my dad was doing his speech, which was a part of the song we didn’t even want heard! Throughout the meal the playlist wasn’t sounding like it was shuffled as it was playing in the order we’d added the songs, meaning we had chunks of the same artist. Once he’d set up for our evening dancing he started playing songs that weren’t on any of our playlists. After our first dance when the music we chose started there were songs added in there which no one requested, not even us, even though we made sure the playlist was long enough for all night (which is was, and some). He didn’t really talk to either of us once before or during our day. Wouldn’t recommend

We had a great experience of using John/ Midland Wedding DJ for our wedding at Ashton Lodge. We were able to catch up with John whenever needed prior to our wedding day, and his portal to upload our song requests made things even more straight forward. On the day John played everything we wanted and then read the room really well to keep our guests on the dance floor. The dance floor was full from start to finish which is exactly what we’d hoped for. We would wholeheartedly recommend John to anyone looking for a DJ for their special occasion.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! We hired John for our wedding in August this year. He was absolutely brilliant from our initial contact with him right through the wedding prep and for wedding day itself. We felt that on the wedding day he covered the tracks we really wanted, plus fully understood the styles we were after and read the room well throughout the night to choose appropriate music so at no point did any song choice feel out of place for what was happening. Plus he is a pleasure to be around too, and offering to support the night with introductions to wedding games etc which we really appreciated. It was also great how he worked with the saxophonist, having calls with the saxophonist in advance (who he hadn't met before) to discuss how they could work together to deliver a great evening of entertainment for us. We really cannot thank John enough for helping make the day so special.

We were able to quickly and easily transfer our date with no issues. The website he uses for the play list is also a really good idea and easy to use. Exactly what we wanted! Couldn't think of anything worse than having a DJ with advertising slashed across the front of the booth, we wanted a classy, subtle setup for our wedding and John at MidlandDJ absolutely delivered! We had for a pre-wedding meeting at the venue and John was more than accommodating with the meeting and on the day of the wedding arrived and set up ahead of the night time event! There was no "1-2, 1-2, testing, testing" or cringe-worthy voice-overs, just a superb DJ, mixing great music. Dance-floor was full all night and everyone had a great time. Would absolutely recommend John to anyone looking for a reputable DJ who knows his stuff, but won't break the bank! Thanks, Mr and Mrs Routley
