    Really well packed museum, actual planes, cockpits you can enter (makes you appreciate not joining the air force and the sacrifices others have made), battlefield dioramas, engine component breakdowns and a cafe. Will visit again, was not expecting the staff to be able to cram so much stuff into so little space.

    It says 2 hours, but I would allow more as I spent a good half hour just in the Vulcan hearing about its design and history as well as the crew stations. Fascinating place and friendly people. It's also a little bit more to get in, at the time of writing this it's now £8.95 but in my humble opinion well worth that.

    I can only repeat what everybody else has said already: a fabulous museum with some unusual planes on display as well as the usual suspects, a huge and eclectic collection of engines, models, memorabilia and technical bits and pieces, friendly knowledgeable staff and volunteers and a fantastic secondhand bookshop. Personally I really liked the jumble of interior displays and the "well used and put out to grass" exterior planes; it has a bit of the same vibe as some of the FSU museums like Monino, but if you're expecting gleaming like-new displays stick to Duxford. Worth every penny of the (now £8.95) admission and I'll be going back for sure.
