A real haven for birds and wildlife with varied views of the river Lea from the weir down. There's a mini Stonehenge for the kids to clamber over. Picnic area: There's space to picnic and benches to sit on.

Filter beds area is a magical little wooded area by the canal next to nature reserve. Loads of wildlife and old abandoned filter bed works. Just off Hackney marshes but you wouldn't know it was here.

Some good old engineering. Nothing particularly special, wouldn't travel to see it, but worth visiting if you're local. Loads of space for a picnic, walking the dog etc.
