A wonderful, country cottage warm, spotlessly clean and cozy with just the right facilities, and plenty of space for multi-families. Great location for visits to either Chatsworth House, Hathersage or Buxton. Alternatively, walk the dog from the house along the Monsal Dale footpaths to the pub!

Booked for a few days here with family. It's a real 'home from home' cottage. We stayed in Maigold. All the rooms are on the ground floor. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking etc. There is a fridge/freezer, but the freezer is only a small box at the top of the fridge. There is a bathroom/toilet, and also a seperate shower room/ toilet, which is really useful. Beds were really comfortable. Central heating was a boon, as it was chilly in the mornings and evenings. We didn't need to use the log burner. When we arrived, there was a tray in the kitchen, with fresh flowers, coffee, sugar etc and a bottle of red wine. A really thoughtful touch. The cottage was spotlessly clean too. Also a good wifi signal. Peaceful surroundings with beautiful views. A few minutes drive away from local beauty spots. The owners are really lovely too. Can't fault this place. Definitely would book again.

We stayed in Albertine for 4 nights 3rd-7th August. The cottage was extremely comfortable for our two families. It was well laid out. The hosts left flowers and wine and everything was clean and fresh looking. We sat out for lunch in the lovely garden. The location was perfect for walks, Chatsworth, river swimming and many pretty villages. We shall return.

We stayed in the lovely Maigold Cottage in early March, feeling very lucky that we had such a great break before lockdown. Maigold is a beautiful barn conversion, very spacious and with all home comforts. We enjoyed local walks, including along the Monsal Way, and exploring the local towns. Brian and Julie are excellent hosts and the location is stunning. Highly recommended !

Albertine was very well appointed, spotlessly clean and most comfortable for our family stay. The hospitality tray of goodies was very much appreciated as was the contact and support from our hosts Julie and Brian. We had a wonderful few days in this beautiful spot and would unreservedly recommend to other lovers of the Derbyshire countryside with all it has to offer..
