I rented my first flat from michael jones. Within months mould started appearing in the flat which I would wipe away as I thought it was due to bad insulation and it was winter time. The mould always came back and it got so bad i had to go back on inhalers for asthma. I reported the mould multiple times to which I just got told to use a dehumidifier and heat the flat. It was causing food in the cupboards to go mouldy and my clothes smelt of damp. I lived in the flat for 3 years and nothing got done about the mould. All the landlord cared about was getting rent and when I refused to sign a new tenancy agreement which included an increase of rent, I was forced to move out, even though I said I would sign it if the mould was sorted. I will never rent or buy from this estate agents ever again as we received no support from them whatsoever. Then to end it all off the landlord wanted to take off 75% of my deposit which I then had to take to a third party to look into. I really hope no one else has moved into that flat as the mould just gets painted over to look nice and new for a new Tennant.
