***Steampunk Foodie @ Michael House*** One thing you should know about us foodies is if we say we don't like it, it is because we have tried it. I reside at Michael House and I ❤️ the food. Tonight the evening meal was pork chops, mash potatoes, cabbage, and haggis, YES I SAID HAGGIS!. I was given the chance to try both meat, and vegan, so I ate both. What a feast. I ❤️ed it all. Here, @ Michael House, the residents don't go hungry. We get three meals a day. More besides. I hope you like my first review as there will be more to come. 🖤🏳️‍🌈🇺🇦🎩.

I've visited here many times over the years to assist with website and IT support. The atmosphere is always friendly and many of the residents I've met genuinely seem happy to be there. The rapport between the staff and residents is very good.

Has to be the most homely hostel in Dorset, maybe even further afield. From the moment of entering the house there's almost a family feeling. Residents socializing, staff laughing and joking with them but always on hand for more serious matters. You just know straight away, residents are cared for. And the garden is a piece of paradise, full of flowers, birds in residence in hand made bird boxes, butterflies flitting around, a pond teeming with life, I could go on. Plus plenty of activities for the residents to be involved in. Cooking, photography, bike restoring, outings. This wonderful haven is the first step for many back from a dark past, which many thought they'd never be released. And what a terrific first step it is
