I had no alternative when I first met Brian Lewis back in 1975. Messrs Ward & Kruger - since subsumed into Meyer & Mortimer - were my regimental tailors. How lucky I was. Since then I have progressed through blues (altered - bet they don't do that now!) and service and mess dress. Then my first - blue - suit. Then grey, then pinstripe, then birdseye, then single breasted with double-breasted lapels, then a copy of the first Pakistan High Commissioner's achkan (instead of a smoking jacket - green velvet), then a black hunting coat, then a red hunting coat. The point of this ramble: every single one is still bing worn (three by my twenty-nine-year-old son - one hunting coat by my son-in-law). And Brian and Paul are still cutting, now at 40 Piccadilly. When you see their prices just amortise the cost over the remaining years of your life, and your sons'. Once you wear the finished article you will never wear anything else ever again. I've known Brian and Paul since around 2005. Two very professional and experienced tailors. They've recently moved premises but you can still expect a friendly welcome and the same level of care.
