Was there for prelaunch of an exhibit. STEM + art activities for children. Lots of enthusiasm and the gardens were perfect for the outdoor activities. Good weather as usual too!

My family have lived opposite the park for decades. The over privileged people behind this have destroyed many projects in the town that were inclusive of all locals, regardless of their background. So many great groups who were no longer able to obtain funding due to the excessive amount of funds this group gets and have yet to see what benefit they actually provide to Southend's diverse culture. The skate park, which has been made mainly of metal is one of the worst in all of UK (ref. sidewalk mag) the tarmac is designed to be rough and rip your skin off. The park has seriously suffered since this group moved in, prostituting the facilitties for profit making purposes and allowing the park to deteriorate and alienate local people.
