We attended their 15th year Anniversary Fete and what a fun time was had by the whole family. We also got an opportunity to speak to many of the girls who were living within Mercy UK. The changes in their lives from the day they began their healing, through a vast range of difficulties within them from their past, to the joy of smiling faces and freedom to begin a whole new life. Mercy UK is to be applauded for the incredible work & challenges they face to help each girl to be completely whole before leaving Mercy. Mercy is a Charity who take in broken girls whose lives have faced great trauma and Mercy has with love and Faith helped each girl deal with every issue and find freedom from their past, no matter how long the journey to freedom takes. I was a resident at Mercy UK in 2018-2019. My time at Mercy was life changing. I went into Mercy a broken, hurting, shell of a girl looking for hope and freedom. I left Mercy a strong, brave woman who found the author and creator of hope and freedom Himself. I was surrounded by a team of people that were and still are so for me, they are so accepting and non-judgmental. The after care team has been supporting me for nine months now and that has been brilliant. The transition from leaving Mercy was made as smooth as possible because of the aftercare team. They remind me of the tools I learnt at Mercy. I know I will have support if and when I need it from Mercy for the rest of my life and that is such a wonderful thing to have.
