A few years back I had some quotes from others, and only the AA managed to beat Mercer Jones quote (by £15 so I stayed put). My Wife’s Aunt passed away in December,and we now deal with Her bills(her older sister still lives in same property) We had a renewal for their Buildings&contents insurance from Mercer Jones,of £389 .This seemed rather high,so used a well known on-line Comparison site,and got Exactly the same cover for £89.00 !. ****** BEWARE *****

I have used Mercer Jones for business policies since 1995 and always had great and friendly service. When i needed to claim they were always helpfu land reassuring.They always gave me a great price. I cannot fault them. Last year I saved myself £20 by using my brother's broker for a policy. Big mistake. Back to Mercer Jones I go. Recommended.

This broker is so tardy in refunding premiums following death of house insurance holder and they do not return calls.Have been waiting 7 weeks for refunds on two policies. They also profit from the death of the policy holder, who was a client from 1992, by charging £40 per policy admin fee despite getting commissions from the insurance company since 1992.
