A one star review has been given but only because you can not give less I am unable to put into words how poor JCB Mercedes van centre is. Every aspect of the service has been awful and have lodged a complaint with the motoring Ombudsman, trading standards and having sought advice I have a strong Civil case and will be taking this retailer to a small claims court. salesman John - Extremely arrogant, clearly in the wrong job. Having reserved a vehicle during Covid he arrived for a test drive, made little attempt to show any features, had no interest in engaging. Having purchased the van the EML came on on the first journey. Returned it to JCB, they couldn't fault the vehicle, they turned the light off. This happened a further three times. Eventually they offered to take the vehicle back however as it was my only means of transport it would have left me with no form of transport for myself or my family with less than a week before my partner was due to give birth. They told me I had 2 weeks to either return the vehicle or to keep it. So, the options were be without a vehicle and have no way to get children to school and have no vehicle when we go into labour. Of course this phone call came at 1700 on a Friday afternoon I have since taken the vehicle to another Mercedes dealer. They have highlighted a number of faults. One being a split in the DPF filter. So, the EML light would come on to highlight this. JCB couldn't find this fault but just kept turning the warning light on. So, to change the DPF filter they have to remove a security clamp (at my cost) change the filter under Warranty) and then fit a new clamp (at my Cost). Its clear this fault was on the vehicle when it was sold. JCB are refusing to cover the cost to put this right. In addition to this the vehicle should be equipped with a spare wheel, it is missing, JCB are refusing to provide one. Having raised complains with Mercedes customer services I have been told that JCB refuse to cover the cost of fixing the vehicle that was sold to me with faults. Ive only approached Mercedes customer services as the dealer refuse to engage. The communication throughout has been awful. John never has authority to do anything or make a decision. Matt doesn't appear to want to do anything, never updates with progress and doesn't appear to have any ounce of customer care or compassion. Though this saga I was told my Matt the Sales manager that he was looking for a replacement vehicle. Frustratingly he was part furloughed and could only look when he was at work. The only vehicle that he would offer me was in excess of £3k more, so I could swap my vehicle but only if I paid £3k more. Obviously the simple was to fix the fault but they were unfortunately too incompetent to have done so. In short, JCB will be quick to take you money, they workshop is incompetent, the customer service levels are worse than non existent. JCB group are nothing short of criminal and will never buy another Mercedes from any dealership again, equally ill never buy anything else from JCB again. Lets face it you can but the same brands from other dealers which are not too far away. So in short, JBC have given me my worse vehicle purchasing experience of my life. I generally buy around 10 vehicles a year through work so I'm by no means inexperienced when it comes to buying cars, van and lorries. If you like being treated like something that has been scraped off of the bottom of your shoe, lied to, sold faulty vehicles, ignored and ripped off then please call Matt and John at JCB Medway and they will happily relieve you of your hard earned money and give you the service you desire. I have no idea how people like this can sleep at night, although based on the cold and callous nature that they have dealt with me I would imagine quite soundly.

As Fleet Manager, this is my GoTo Mercedes centre for van purchasing and more recently servicing. Unlike a lot of other MB outlets they :- - Answer the phone - Are helpful and genuine - Ring you back when they say they will - Deal with issues promptly - Most importantly I feel I get value for money here. I don't own shares in them. I'm not related to them. I think I once got a JCB Thermos Mug. However, I choose to return to them as I have experienced a whole lot worse elsewhere.
