Used to be really excited after purchased my first MB GLB as it has always been my dreamed brand, but now have to warn you the readers give it a consideration before you buy – from both the quality and the services. You might see us on the Dela Beche Road Swansea on 01/05/2023: an embarrassed Chinese couple were standing by the roadside – with their broken down car blocked road. My wife was driving the car and felt it shaking, and then scratched a car parked the roadside before she stopped – the sliver Volvo’s paint was scratched and our car’s front-left wheel was fell down, and the axle and suspension broken! I was not there so not sure how a 20-year no accident driver with a 3-year less car and less than 15mph speed did that without caused massive damage to the other car (sorry to say that, I use to thought the MB was one of the strongest car in the world). We both scared so called the insurance company and they acted quickly. Then we called the dealer Swansea to explain the situation and want them to investigate the quality issue, the reception transferred to service room, and I was told by a man answered phone ‘I don’t know’. Emailed someone I know, no reply the first day, and replied after a chased email and told me to ‘ask insurance company to investigate’. (Called insurance company and repair centre, the problem is the insurance company won’t do so because no one injured and the repairing centre just focuses on repairing). Also emailed headquarters customer services and no answer till today (I called them today). Yesterday (11/05), I brought the video record from dash camera to show the dealer Swansea; personally I thought it was quite clear to see the speed, the parking car, and the moment of the accident happened. The reception just gave triple questions: ‘you bought the car here? Has it been serviced? Is it still in warranty?’ . I wanted talk to the manager but a staff to be sent out later and recorded everything (seemed he understood the component faulty but not useful), and I emailed more details to the manager there after and got an answer in the evening told ‘he inspected video and photos and everything has been damaged due to make contact with the Volvo’. – to be honest, in a common sense, since the accident happened, the surrounding neighbours, pedestrians, the insurance company and car rental company, they all saying ‘are you ok’ / ‘really sorry to hear that’ -- showed proper sympathy and good service manner. The dealer gave me the feeling ‘after sale, I don’t care’. Whatever the reasons of the accident, the service training itself for this centre Swansea, I give 1 point only. I called the MB customer service in the UK this morning and they recorded as well and created case ref number. About one hour later, a man called from France politely explained the most ridiculous policy: 'if you think we are wrong, we have to prove it by ourselves' - the vehicle can only be examined for the quality/faulty issues by their own service centres and won't accept the independent investigation. But I will use The Motor Ombudsman's recommended engineer to check, for my own safety purpose. By the way, I am not asking any compensation as the insurance has covered. Actually I am not afraid that due to our own driving problem, only concern is potential car component faulty. I only want to make sure my car is still safe to drive (I assume the new-repaired parts will be no problem, but what about the back wheel). To default the problem may avoid worse accident in the future (what if we were on the motorway – my wife became nervous and have to take tablet help to sleep). Exclude the reason of accident, the services in both the dealer Swansea and the manufacture are very disappointed. My own feeling is ‘the car selling incomes are more important than customers’ safety, the prices of car not match its after-sale service’. That’s why I publish this review here for you to refer. (Consider Volvo maybe! Scratched only after 'bumped' by A MB). Finally thanks for the GOOGLE REVIEW, I felt much better after publish it!
