Multiple 5* experiences over the years came tumbling to an end yesterday when they did not practice the manifesto they preach. They were given clear instructions on the issue to address. Including part requirements. This was sadly ignored. There were no updates on the day. In the evening they called to say the car was ready to collect and fully fixed. I had clearly stated no work without authorisation. The customer complaints department was worse. Chalking it up to a misunderstanding and to provide free thorough diagnostics to resolve the issue out of “good will.” Good will for what? When you already have information on the exact culprit part?! Sadly, this place has fallen apart since David moved onto Guildford and, Davy moved off to Rolls Royce. The sheer incompetence that remains is absurd. Take your need for service/repair elsewhere as this is no longer the place it used to be. It has become a garage out to swindle customers by playing ignorant. Tactics you usually see with a back alley garage claiming to have fixed the problem. In a word? Abysmal.

I went in for an airbag recall, that day i received an email of it on jacks.. bit mythed but as part of the recall was a health check. Without this check I wouldn’t have been aware of the standard a local garage had left my car in. Multiple missing under tray panels, screws loose, hooks left on brakes, brake pipes not clipped in. Absolutely mortified I actually can’t thank them enough. Sometimes the service and ‘add-ons’ are a good money making extra however just the health check alone made me appreciate the level and standard a manufacturer goes to. Thank you.
