Our beautiful Mum D sadly passed away on Christmas Day. We had never had to deal with a death before so didn't know what to do. Where do I begin! After much thought and consideration we chose this funeral home to lay my dad to rest, and I am so glad that we did. They went above and board in their service to us. They kept in constant contact with us regarding the arrangements and paper work. They were very patient with our many questions and my mum's temperament (God bless them). The little things and the and the personal touches were done to a high standard. Melville and daughters did our dad proud 👏 the attention to detail was outstanding. In this hard time, you made it easier for the family and the effective communication was on par. Allowing and showing the grandkids to carry the coffin and show them what to do was so heartfelt and warming This is the kind of service you want in any industry, but with something so personal and close to our hearts, I'm glad we had the honour with working with you. Even with the family and our little hiccups, you did your job and nothing was too much trouble for you or to ask you to do. Writing this review does not express the gratitude that I feel towards you. My Nan’s death was a huge shock to all of my family and M&D have been a huge support throughout the whole process from the day we found out to the day we laid her to rest. Having been recommended to us by our cousins I called Melville on the day my mother died. My call was taken by Paulette Melville who patiently and compassionately explained what action I needed to take and next steps. 2 incredible men collected my mother's body. They treated her with the upmost respect and dignity. I felt reassured that she was in safe hands. Paulette, Patricia and Brenda were kind, knowledgeable, understanding and expertly assisted me with navigating through the formalities of arranging the funeral. They accommodated my wishes including sourcing a bespoke coffin. The day of the funeral was directed by Damian with professionalism, patience and compassion. I felt confident and reassured by his professional caring attitude. I can not recommend or praise Melville and Daughters enough. At the most heartbreaking moment of my family's life they made the process easier to bear.
