Overall price is reflected in the food, amazing service (*massive highlight on this!!), &staff r very helpful. It's a very prestige venue, so defo dress up! This ain't no tracksuit place lol. U can tell they change their chicken grease regularly, its fresh food, not day old food. NOT a typical Caribbean food place, this is a table service restaurant, waiters seat u, come to u for ur orders at ur table n bring everything, u dont have to move a muscle. Proper waiting service I've never experienced anything like this, they have set the bar HIGH. Only bad thing is u have to book, they dont do walk ins? which isn't stated on the website! Menu has more stuff than stated online, n prices r lot higher too!! They need to UPDATE THE WEBSITE?! They stated ALL alcoholic drinks r strong, n its same price for a *virgin pina coloda and an *alcholic one?? They only serve drinks on menu, not many alcoholic options, &no cocktail requests allowed :( I got a meal from main menu I'd say its a very gd portion, my sister got xl n it's defo worth the price. Food came quick too Jerk chicken leg was mostly bone, some bone splinters but the meat was beautiful not dry at all, fries weren't crispy but I prefer them like that. Dj played great modern music too. Best restaurant experience ever!!!

If you know about Caribbean food, you’ll know Mellows has been commercialised. We could tell the jerk chicken was fresh off the grill but something was off about the food and didn’t smell right. The manager didn’t have the cordiality to discuss the issue face to face and kept sending a staff member to apologise instead. We went there starving but left with belly ache. £9 for a cocktail but I couldn’t teste the alcohol. Good portion of plantain but very greasy. Dumpling and coleslaw were good. The table we sat on was wobbly and my seat was uncomfortable. I don’t get the hype about this place.
