Cafés are ten a penny in York but there's only a select few that actually show love and passion for what they do and MELK is absolutely one of them. Fresh food prepped and served daily as well as a range of cakes and sweet treats that are unbeatable. Staff are down to earth and friendly, overall staggeringly good and well worth a visit.

Dropped in for coffee and a light breakfast. Thoroughly recommend the mushrooms on toast which were possibly the best I have ever had. Several sorts of mushrooms, cooked perfectly, and served on toast that soaked in the juices and tasted divine.
