I have been with the club for a few years now and every week I look forward to Tuesday evenings. What I enjoy most is that there is always something new to learn and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. When I started learning Tai Chi, I felt supported not only by Derek, our instructor, but also by everyone in the group. The venue is close to the East Croydon station which is great if you are travelling by public transport.

This is the enjoyable and friendly class I was looking for as a complete beginner! The tea breaks at the end of the session are excellent.

I have been coming to this class for a few years and it is a highlight of my week. This class is perfect for unwinding and doing something fun with a group of friendly people. It is easily accessible through train and bus links. We all do a warm up together, then split up into groups, with beginners learning the basics to build up their abilities, and those who are more experienced working on the longer form. We have a tea break in the middle too where we can chat and have a laugh. Derek, our instructor, is very supportive and helps you progress whatever your ability or fitness capabilities. I love this class and highly recommend it!

I've been attending the East Croydon Tai Chi and Qi Gong classes for a few years and have nothing but praise for the club. The classes suit all levels of experience and physical ability with no pressure to push beyond your own limits. Forget the stress of daily life and focus and your own physical and mental well being - I come away each class happier and more in tune with my own body and well being. The atmosphere is super friendly and relaxed and there is always good humour, we even have a little tea break between classes. The club is in a safe area and is easy to get to from local transport if needed. So basically, I love the classes and just wish I'd started sooner.

Such a great class for a beginner to Tai Chi! Derek and the group make you feel very welcome and you slot right in. I didn't feel overwhelmed because you can learn at your own pace and Derek enthusiastically imparts his knowledge and expertise. The location is easy to get to as well, a 5-10min walk from east croydon station and there is lots of parking on site. It’s a class I look forward to every week, I’m learning and slowly seeing improvements. 10/10
