Unfortunately I can’t give the experience I had more than three stars. We came in as a party of 10 without a cooking for context, which we only did as the website said we couldn’t book as a large party. The service was unfriendly as we came in, and was incredibly slow once we had sat down. It took over 20 mins for the drinks to arrive after ordering, and the tap water I ordered never arrived. I had a halloumi brioche with added streaky bacon, which was unfortunately cold, soggy on the bottom, and dry on the top. Luckily I also ordered the ‘hash brown’ that came with times o sauce, which made the sandwich far better. The hash brown itself was not a hash brown, it was slightly crisp on the outside but had layers of fondant potato in the middle, which looked quite grey and unappealing in the middle - although the romesco sauce served with it was lovely. A member of my party ordered the huevos rancheros which she enjoyed, but wanted some toast to accompany it - she ordered this toast a few minutes into eating her meal, and it unfortunately didn’t arrive till the feast of our party had paid and started to leave. Overall the food was okay, but the speed of service unfortunately made for an uncomfortable experience. I appreciate that we were a large party, but I would hope that toast could come out in under half an hour.
