We had a taster session today with Medex and I can honestly say it was very useful and relevant. They knew the PA role very well and made sure they made it relevant to this. They made the session fun and made us feel comfortable even if we didn’t understand. I wasn’t ashamed to say I don’t understand certain things because they made sure we did. Jaz and Paren are great doctors and teachers who are very passionate about helping PA’s achieve what they need. I can’t wait to attend more sessions and pass my nationals. Thank you again 🙏🏻❤️

Before attending the course, i was not very confident, was really scared about working in the NHS and making costly mistakes. The best thing about the course is that the principles taught are very practical, you are allowed to communicate your fears and they are appropriately addressed. After attending the course i feel confident and equipped to approach the day to day challenges i would face working in the NHS.

I attended the 2 day MedEx course on the weekend of the 30-31st. The course was amazing, I have learnt so much over the last two days. My concerns regarding my Nationals were confidence, before attending the course but I definitely feel more confident and prepared regarding presenting findings now. The team were lovely and friendly and I was amazed about the numerous topics that we covered; ranging from: examination and communication skills, procedures, ECG and chest X-ray interpretation skills, but mostly how to be a safe Physician Associate. After attending the taster session by the Medex team, I decided to sign up for the 2 day course. I also felt I lacked structure and therefore less confident to face the nationals. I am so glad that I could attend such an informative course with excellent teaching. Although the course was intense, it covered everything you need before the final exams. I attended the Medex 2 day OCSE course, it was brilliant!! So helpful and informative. The course really gives a real insight of the national exam. Everyone got a chance to be tested under stress and practice communication skills/examinations. Constructive feedback was given throughout the course. If you really want to polish your skills and feel confident for the nationals, this is the course for you.

Some friends recommended Medex and after attending the course I'm recommending them to everyone! I finally feel ready to sit my OSCE ;D The relaxed but informative style of teaching combined with advice around mindset makes this experience invaluable. I felt very comfortable asking questions and left understanding things I previously didn’t. By far the best thing about the course is how much we covered, I was able to address every weak area from CXR and ECG interpretation to fine tuning examination skills. I learned more about ECGs in an hour at Medex than I did throughout my course! I thoroughly enjoyed the stress testing. After an intense but productive 2 days I left feeling confident and relaxed.

I attended the medical excelence course on the weekend of the 30/31 January 2021, I wanted to attend the course as although I had done well in previous OSCEs I felt as though I was still missing something and lacked self-confidence. The Medical excellence team helped greatly improve my confidence with examination, summarising and presenting findings and provided a way to succinctly do this quickly in an OSCE. There was opportunity to go over some core procedural skills and practice with real actors, helping to prepare for the real thing, the team provided expert feedback and ways to deal with difficult OSCEs, I thoroughly recommend the course for second year Physician associates about to sit their national exam, especially those that feel as though they need something extra or a bit more confidence going into the nationals, thanks again medical excellence!

I attended the Medex course due to feeling underprepared for the national OSCE exams, and I lacked confidence in myself. This course covered so much content, including examinations, communication, procedural skills and excellent teaching on various topics such as ECG interpretation. I think the best part of the course was the stress testing, as this allowed me to get constructive feedback and know where I need to work on in the coming weeks.
