  Trying to get hold of customer services is impossible all I want is to speak to someone

  I come here out of desperation and decided to leave a review to help other people with the appalling customer service of Medela uk. I bought a swing flex double pump 14 jan 2023. It was delivered by ups 19th January. This weekend a red light flashed whilst pumping and then the pump stopped working. I thought it was the battery so started to charge it. After 2 hours of charging the charging light is still flashing green and the pump is not switching on. I rely on this pump for my new born. I spent the whole day on the 23rd calling customer service no luck I sent 5 emails no response. Medela Instagram page uk read me msg and didn’t respond. What a very bad way to treat their customer. I am now £165 out of pocket with no working pump and no money to buy a replacement whilst I struggle to feed my new born who can’t latch onto my breast. To say I am disappointed is an understatement I do not recommend you buy their products especially with a non responsive customer service team. I have had to go to the bank who advised me to send the product back and provide tracking number so that I can dispute the payment and get my money back within 2 week this is the only way since I can’t get hold it Medela customer service and they ain’t responding to me.

  Ordered for next day delivery - urgent to establish supply. UPS delivery then totally failed and next day (Friday) became a Monday at the earliest delivery with not a lot of consideration from UPS that this was medical equipment needed for establishing feeding However - Chris from Medela was really helpful with multiple calls to ups and after it became clear ups weren’t going to provide the service they had committed to Chris organised a delivery within 2 hours from a pharmacy in central london to our house. Great customer service from Medela - however think they need to change their courier to one who actually cares about people (UPS are terrible!)

  Medela need to stop using UPS for their delivery service. My order was urgent and it didn't turn up on the next day delivery. Seems to be a consistent theme on the other reviews

  The only reason this review is not one star is because the products appear to work reasonably well... whenever you can get them. I ordered on a Thursday around midday, hoping for same day dispatch (for which there were plenty of hours left in the day), but expecting that it might not happen until Friday. Got a notification from UPS that delivery was scheduled for Monday. Monday comes and UPS notify me that they've not even received my order from Medela, so I try to call Medela and nobody is answering the phone (I called many times!). Sent them an email and no response. They'll take your money but good luck getting a product out of them.

  Changed my life. I had a very low milk supply as I had introduced formula when my son was 3 days old because of his poor latch and baby blues - however i never gave up on breastfeeding completely and the medela pump increased my supply massively even after 4 months of barely nursing. I had lost hope, until i began to use this pump. I went from giving formula 8 times a day to just ONCE as i was nursing most feeds!!

  BEWARE! Pump was good and as advertised. However the pricing structure is misleading and in my view unfair. The pump is advertised as £47 per month to rent...in reality the initial £47 buys you 2 weeks. You are then automatically charged another £47 after 2 weeks. Is this on their website/in the small print? Yes so Medela won’t entertain a refund, but it’s not clear at headline/advert level and when you’re 5 days into looking after your first child you don’t necessarily check. I suspect Medela know this and structure their pricing accordingly. Well within the one month cut off we packaged up the pump ready to return it to avoid further charges as we no longer needed it only to see they’d already taken another £47 10 days earlier. Awful to try and get through to speak to someone about it also.

  Ordered Friday and paid significantly extra for next day delivery as the need was urgent for our premature twins. Did not turn up until Monday - both Medela and their carrier (UPS) are unreachable at the weekend. Medela and their choice of carrier should be reachable on a saturday if they offer delivery that day. Completely unacceptable when you are dealing with urgent medical equipment and fragile lives. Would strongly suggest you look elsewhere if you need kit quickly.
