Sadly, my last visit to this lovely, friendly club, as, along with many others, it closes it doors for the last time on 14th August. It was a nostalgic visit to what at one time, was a typical, town centre club, converted from a cinema or theatre. Mecca have always been the best at customer service, and clubs retained the Social Club atmosphere. It's the end of an era. First the smoking ban, the COVID, and now dwindling attendances, partly due to the growth of online bingo. Sad to see it go.

I was going to give this review a 4 star rating, as the establishment was absolutely fine and we had no issues whatsoever. However, what propels this review from a run of the mill bingo hall to a must visit destination is the Staff. I like like to give special acknowledgment to Dan, who when we were greeted by, I did think to myself “Oh boy here we go, a big alpha male character” but he treated us like royalty, made us laugh, made us feel welcome and most importantly, made us feel like we are worth something.

Me and my two friends came to mecca for the first time and honestly didn't know what we were doing, but an absolutely wonderful employee named Emma sat with us and helped us with getting used to how to play! She was absolutely wonderful and made our experience amazing. 100% will be returning and cannot thank Emma enough for making our night fabulously enjoyable.
