The reception staff are sooo rude and argumentative. It’s like they’re offended you’ve called and they never want to help. It’s a shame because the doctors are good but I’m still moving surgery.

The practitioners here tend to be clinically superb, but the administration and systems sadly feel unfit for purpose. The receptionists seem to spend most of their working day making excuses and do not take ownership for issues with the service they provide. Their demeanour with patients is uncaring at best and frankly derogative at worst. Many times have I stood in the queue and listened to an elderly patient be spoken down to. The reception service is so far from best practice it’s sad to see as somebody who cares about the NHS and it’s patients. When it’s busy, even a small amount of understanding and empathy goes a long way to make patients feel cared for. The reception culture feels toxic and sadly it has lost that magic all good NHS teams need.

Over 40 minutes hold time by phone. The e-consult is the easiest and fastest way to be seen. You get a response within 24 hours and can book appointments for the week ahead without having to call on the day to book an appointment. I feel that the service has improved.
