My friend attended this unit, was released and then un-alived himself, the staff unsuccessfully made contact with him, Police later found him 2 months later, if they had only looked at his social media accounts (which were/are public), they would have realised that he was in danger, This is not the NHS's fault, this is the fault of the culture of the worker's attitudes surrounding the unit, they need to be actively contacting patients, not just ring, but visit them also.. I hope to god nothing like this happens again because a such an event affects everyone around them.

I sometimes take reviews with a pinch of salt but, I must say, I was appalled at the consistent low ratings this place has attained. My Son’s only been there a few days, I must admit i’ve experienced similar things, ie: putting phone down on you, can’t understand half of what some of the staff are saying and they don’t seem to have clue about the patients. So the juries still out as far as i’m concerned. I’ll just monitor the situation for the moment and see if they merit an increase in my initial rating.!

Awful hospital with minimal care and generally a very poor skill set of staff who truest care about patients. This place needs investigating for the amount of neglect and support that it offers society’s most vulnerable.

To be honest and I'm a honest person cause I don't ever do a review on any sort of place I have stayed or ever been to visit it's been my most beneficial addmition in adult services and I have been able to express how I feel without feeling judged. My key nurse (E) has been amazing and she will always make time to talk even when the ward is most busiest like all nursing staff. It has been a settled stay whilst being here on the ward but every ward as I know from my own experience has alot of unwell patients and its not going to always be quite and settled all the time. As for like new patients who have never been in the service before it can be difficult to understand other people why things happen and I know it can be I guess scary and feel unusual because it's very different. The reality of mental health is so much more than it can seem. But my stay so far here has been very positive some stresses but that is why I have come in to receive help and to understand myself better . I am extremely grateful for all the help and support that Keats ward has shown and validated me. I think people are always quick to jump to the negatives but if the positives out way the negatives then I think that's what should be focused on. 😀

If you cobble together all the staff, and this is at a push, you may get a decent member of staff. Wait no, that's not true, the cleaning staff are lovely and competent. At first it was funny but now it's just hysterical. You want to work on this ward? Easy. To hit the bar you you must know how to spell your own name... At least I hope you do, the first letter maybe, couldn't be sure about the rest.
