Really poor company. Totally ignore times agreed in care plan. Management sound bored and uninterested. Not worth ringing up to complain as pat is very rude and doesn't listen even argues with you. Jill is uninterested and although says she will follow up on complaints clearly does nothing. Apparently the director is always on holiday as you can never speak to him and never calls back. The empathy of the staff clearly is a result of poor management Do not use them even as a last resort

Stay well away from these Rob dogs. they couldn't look after a Dog. let alone the elderly. They are all family that work for them so they give all the work to them.they Rob there workers with saying they have only been the call for so many min and they can do this cuz they use a system called cm2000 and they can change the min on there themselves. So it's more money there getting .they are robbing b*****d.they have been in the papers a few times to.and been banned from social services for 6 months.they should not b aloud to carry on giving poor care.shut them down.

MEADOW HOMECARE WELL WHAT CAN I SAY ....Management rubbish no communication with their staff who tend to turn up when they feel like it . We have had more than 2-3 things go wrong I am sick of phoning after they've cocked up putting it politely. Some off the carers are very good but rushed off their feet having to double up with no notice but overall it's the management that has no idea how to communicate with their workers and constantly come up with excuses why things go wrong or blame the carers for their mistakes I would not recommend Meadow home care to anyone and think they need to pull their socks up or close down .

A statement made by the care providers: The management of Meadow Home Care Services Ltd make regular visits to clients to ensure that you are happy with the service being provided and to give you, and us, the opportunity of re-assessing your care needs. We believe that personal contact with our clients is the key to a successful working relationship and is also the only way we can provide a care service which caters for individual needs. We Have received no such contact EVER!! So, The council employed this agency to provide care for my Mother, As agreed in the care plan, created by Meadow Homecare themselves that the times their carers SHOULD arrive at are: 7.30, 11.30, 15.30 and 6.30pm. I spent complete days at Mom’s, on occasions, to monitor the ‘check-in’ and sign-out times against the input details on the care plan document. This is a legal document that confirms the personal care has been carried out. I found that some of the very young carers checked in and out within 6 to 8 minutes, adding to the log, ‘Mrs O is clean and dry and comfortable. I followed up and check Mom out. The disposable pants where very wet and the signs of redness were visible. The early carers would arrive around the times agreed but, the later appointments have been up to 2 hours late. The next visit would be on time giving only 1-2 hours between calls, and on one occasion they failed to arrive at all with no contact to inform us. The next day other staff wrote in the care plan, to cover the missing log-in! This is nothing short of negligence and fraud. Staff are clearly rushed and overworked. Many of them were constantly receiving phone calls being told to slip-in extra work between regular calls. If the Care Quality Commission and Birmingham City Council are aware of these failing and nothing is being done to improve their service, why are they not withdrawing contracts?

Meadow Homecare based in Solihull has some serious issues. The council employed this agency to provide care for my Mother, and from the first day they started providing care problems began. As agreed in the care plan, created by Meadow Homecare themselves and agreed with us the carers SHOULD arrive at 10.30am and 6.30pm. On many occasions, too many for me to count infact, carers would arrive up to 2 hours late and on one occasion they failed to arrive at all with NO TELEPONE CALL OR ANY PRIOR NOTICE. What good agency fails to inform the service user the carer will be late or turn up at all? Imagine the health consequences for someone with no family or friends and relies on the agency for food or medication? They could be killed by such negligence. Management are poor. When you speak to them they sound bored and uninterested about your concerns. They say we will get back you about your concern but never call back at all. Staff are clearly rushed and overworked. Many of them were constantly receiving phonecalls being pestered into doing extra work they could not cope with. Staff often left before their allocated time was finished and left care tasks uncompleted. The whole organisation is a disaster waiting to happen. If I'm being completely honest I wouldn't even trust them to look after my dog whilst I was on holidays. The only positive thing to say about them is the regular carer we received for the majority of care was nice and professional despite the poor management she had to put up with. Steer clear of this company at all costs! Care Quality Commission and Birmingham City Council need to arrange urgent inspection!
