Melanie Dempster at her epononymoys MD Massage Therapies is somewhat of a wonder. She works the body so fluidly and smoothly you feel like body and soul are firmly folded together. The setting of the massage room and bed is very relaxing aided by the sound of people strolling by outside by the canal. With our busy stressful lives this is exactly what is required. I have the luck of being asked to be one of her massage models on occasion and here I am witness to her other great talent - teaching. Melanie is a talented teacher who imparts her knowledge with precision and in the most joyful and calm manner that allows any student to soak up the information in an almost effortless manner. Myself and my partner attended a massage course with Mel this weekend. We were particularly impressed by her knowledge, expertise and easy to understand course. We spent 2 days learning the basics which was both fun, relaxing, and informative. Mel is a natural teacher with a depth of knowledge which she conveys in a straight forward way; which given the fact that we had no prior experience left us feeling confident to deliver a massage to friends and family (as well as each other!) I would thoroughly recommend Mel, as she is great fun and given that we spent 2 intensive days learning techniques which previously we knew nothing about, the time seemed to fly by. Finally, I just want to thank Mel for helping me understand how to massage properly. I will definitely continue to use all the strokes taught, in particular remembering to work up the body!

Mel is awesome. I would say she has healing hands. She has the ability to listen to your body and hone in on your problem areas without you saying anything. She will then focus on them until they are no more. I have had a lottttt of massages, around the world too and I would say Mel rates top. What is especially great about her is how you feel after she's done. It's not just the relaxed feeling a massage should give you ... with Mel you get more ... I would say you get your body back working as it should. I cannot recommend her enough. Recently had a full body and I cant stop singing! You are truly gifted Mel.
