Having lost my beloved father on 5th November 2022 my family and I made an appointment to see Diane. She was extremely professional from the moment we entered Mc Ginn. She made time for my mother, sister and myself. Nothing was too much trouble, even when we asked if after dressing dad she could spray him with his favourite aftershave. The day before the service she comforted my two daughters while i went to pay my last respects in the small area at the back which was laid out so peaceful. On the day of the funeral Diane called to say dad was on his way to our home . Thomas and the gents who took care of us on the day were professional and nothing was too much trouble. They made an extremely sad day go by without any hiccups . I am so pleased that we used this small family business and Diane who was meticulous in her work.

After sadly losing my father I contacted McGinns to arrange the funeral. From the moment they collected my dad from the hospice, right up to the moment I collected my dad’s ashes, my family and I were dealt with professionally. Diane showed empathy during the initial arrangements and during further contacts we had with her. On the day of the funeral, Thomas and his gentlemen were professional throughout and made a very upsetting day go smoothly. I am so pleased that we used this small family run business.

Diane was recommended to me by the brother of a personal friend of hers and I regret using her service. She never prepared my mother as promised not even dressing her or fixing her hair placed clothing on top of her this is not the service I paid for. Diane was misleading on the phone as when discussing my requirements I told her that I did not want to use Pure cremations service and at no point did she mention that they use this company for their direct cremation service until my mother was already in her care so went with a different service costing more. I should have been told on our initial call that she use them as a third party. All she did was keep repeating herself constantly as though I didn't understand what to expect. I was too traumatised at the time to complain but will be following this up in writing. Her actions have caused me to have nightmares, feelings of distress and guilt. I've been left traumatised by her actions and will take this to court if I have to mow I'm feeling stronger. S Archer
