We were new to the area so entered into discussions with several tradespeople with no small amount of trepidation. We have a Victorian house that has needed a lot of work and have engaged many trades over that past 12 months. We've had some terrible experiences, some mediocre experiences and then there was Sean and his team. What a breath of fresh air. There is clear blue water between Sean and his team, and all the other trades we have dealt with for the following reasons: - Communication: one might think it's not rocket science but believe me, it appears to be so. Sean's communication is clear as day. Pricing is clear and discussed up front, timelines are clear and there has never been a day where we have been let down. Sean is always around to have a discussion about any aspect of what the team is doing. He also gives great advice. - Responsiveness: these guys listen (and I mean really listen) and react accordingly. - Flexibility: I have changed my mind on a number of occasions and Sean and the team are always accommodating and professional. They are open to change and I have never felt uncomfortable (even when I asked them to repaint an entire bookcase in a difference colour and changed my mind about a staircase with no notice). - Quality: the finish is great. The walls here are lumpy and the work has been (I imagine) pretty gruelling at times. But the finish is great. All our friends who have visited the house have consistently commented on the quality of the paintwork and the wallpapering. We have been approached by passers-by to compliment us on the exterior paint finish too. - Attitude: last but not least is the approach of the team. It sounds like an ancillary point but when you have decorators in your house almost permanently for in excess of 6 months it's important that you feel comfortable. The guys have been amazing. They are respectful of the house, they work diligently and they have been great with a pair of overly loquacious small children. I am totally happy to leave them in the house, as we did when we went on holiday in the summer. I'm delighted to say that we will be sticking with Sean and his team to finish the house and into the future. I would recommend them without hesitation. We had Sean and the team in over a period of 6 months redecorating our Georgian farm house, top to bottom, inside and out, as part of a major renovation project. Fantastic preparation, finish and all round attention to detail. Shaun and his team were the decorators for my full house refurbishment project. They had the job of transforming an Arts & Crafts 6 bedroom house filled with stained wood panelling into a modern home painted in Farrow & Ball traditional colours. They were extremely knowledgeable about how to tackle cracks in paintwork and also the prep needed to get the depth of colour needed on the panelling. They also had the unenviable task of hanging some extremely expensive wall paper without any issue! They are a great business who are professional, punctual and also nice to be around (important when you have them in your home for many weeks, as in this case)! Probably the best decorators I have used!
