I couldn’t ask for a better vets, all the staff are kind and caring, they clearly love their animals. Was made to feel so welcome with my big scaredy-cat of a dog Kate took the time to sit with us and gave him treats and eventually cuddles this made me relax too, the vet was amazing too really went through everything thoroughly and was so calm and compassionate. I would like to thank Kate and all the team for making us feel so welcome and comfortable, it’s so hard to find a vet these days that takes the time with nervous dogs

My Mother in law who's a pensioner took her cat there for biopsy and charged £200 then told result was inconclusive then told to have test done again as wasn't don't correctly but this time it would cost a £1000 so avoid they rip people off constantly especially when they are pensioners

service really on the decline. several incidents now that has led me to take my cats out of this surgery. 1. asked for an estimate of a procedure and told them we were paying out of pocket. on the day of the procedure they recommended two more additions that added £200 to the bill. really hit our bank balance hard but we paid, of course we did. 2. during covid when waiting outside two nurses busy chatting ignored the door bell for half an hour. when they finally came to the door and by this time i was late for my apointment they told me that i was booked at their other site despite not mentioning that when i booked the visit. 3. kept telling me i needed blood tests because my cat was loosing weight, he had just had two teeth out and was finding it hard to eat. he was fine. cost us a few hundred. 4. cat was investigated for high blood pressure after we asked for his eye freckles to be checked. they havent kept a record of the size or shape of them despite me raising this several times. i booked the cat in for blood pressure at a special cat only day, except when we got there, there was also alot of dogs. go figure. blood pressure came back high but they didnt let me stay with the cat and instead took him into the back which he had never been in before. once complete they came out and gave me the cat. but they just finished my session early. no information was given so i asked if i could speak to the vet about it. cost alot for less than 10 minutes of time.his blood pressure was sky high apparently but they told me it was high end of normal so i didnt find out it was high until next time we were in for routine stuff. told me i needed to bring him back for a whole day of observation so they could check again. i suggested getting a home tester as the products have come a long way in terms of ease of use and accuracy and that the cat would be very stressed away from home the whole day stuck in a cage. first vet said was a good idea to check myself and then went away and came back and said we cannot recommend must be brought in. i asked if they could do a home visit for it? categorically told no. i told them i would do it anyway so i can check myself. several readings all seem to come back in the normal range once the cat is at home and relaxed. phoned to ask if i could confirm normal blood pressure range for cats and they just told me they wouldnt give me that information. they seem to be price gauging now. i would expect alot more understanding of the animals they see from the staff. never had the same Vet twice and really starting to distrust them. its all good until you need actual care and then it just goes to pot.

Lovely warm reception from Kate when we arrived with our very excitable rescue. Theo has only been to the vets once but knew immediately it was somewhere full of animal loving staff, with treats. We were seen quickly by Randa who was very relaxed and confident when checking over a very excited Theo. As we left Theo was greeted by all the staff who were not worried with this large pup with a huge wagging tail throwing himself in their direction. A very positive experience for everyone! Thank you!

They're perfectly nice people but if you have a guinea pig, don't take it here. I've wasted 2 years and hundreds of pounds on repeated visits and each time have gotten nowhere - i've had numerous mis-diagnosis' from them and still to this day don't know what condition my guinea pig has. One time, they attempted to take urine from her twice, only for me to end up doing it myself...and then they lost the urine sample and didn't tell me until I rung up and asked after it. Furthermore, there is one medication that seems to work for her, but they refuse to give her a repeat prescription and instead insist I come in and have a consultation each time, maybe do another scan, maybe an x-ray, maybe a sample i.e. exploit my worry for my pet, take more of my money...and then all they do is prescribe me the medication I originally asked for with no solid diagnosis - it's the same every time. It's just been a really long series of incompetence and myself being messed around and I wish i'd changed vets earlier and saved myself a lot of money and anxiety. There's numerous times they could've referred me to a proper exotic vets, but they obviously don't put the wellbeing of an animal first and instead prioritise money. I really don't like writing negative reviews - i'm sure they're better for dogs and cats but do think twice if you have a guinea pig.
