12/09/22 Just had a fantastic week on Marilyn Mayfly. A 5 star boat with excellent facilities from the walk through bathroom to a fully equipped galley. The Grand Union canal is beautiful whether you go North or South. We went South to Cosgrove and then back North to Foxton Locks . On Michaels recommendation we went down the Welford Arm to spend the last night and visited the The Warf Inn for a meal. Excellent. Thanks Renee and Michael for providing a service that can't be matched by the large hire fleets. I wish you every success in the future. Philip

Had a fantastic week aboard this beautiful narrowboat. The views and the scenery were amazing (oh and the pubs were great too😁). Foxton Locks was the highlight for me where I managed to get interviewed by BBC News. The boat itself is easy to manoeuvre once you get the hang of it. The Mayfly team provide a training session before your trip which is very helpful and informative.Renne and Micheal were the best and the organisation was top notch. Would highly recommend to anyone, first time boaters or seasoned narrowboat hirers. The whole experience was brilliant and we will definitely be narrowboating again sometime. What a week we had on the Mayfly! A beautifully presented narrow boat, with all the mod cons you could need whilst exploring the canals. We had 4 on board but there was more than enough room for two more. The boat was easy to operate after a little training from the owners, whom I can’t thank enough, their attention to detail and little touches on board, we’re all charming and well received. My children loved the time on the water, constantly changing scenery and wildlife aplenty kept them entertained as we glided along. A little bit of effort needed at the locks, but it all contributed to an amazing holiday. So amazing, we’ve already booked next year. Can’t recommend enough.

Really taken back by the space, that a narrow boat could fit all four of us comfortably and a dog. Homely, clean and the kitchen had all you could ask for. Both Michael and Renee couldn’t have been more lovely and helpful. We got back and booked again straight away for a second adventure later in the year 💙

Had an amazing holiday on Marilyn mayfly such a lovely boat fully equipped with all you needs for a self catering holiday. Our holiday with 5 people on board and two little dogs started at north kilworth marina and made our way to foxton locks where we stayed the night, the next day we set off for market Harborough then turned around to get back to foxton and back up the locks. We then stayed the night amongst beautiful countryside. We then travelled back up to crick then Weeden back to crick and along the braunston locks where we turned around to make our journey back to north kilworth. This journey took a week to do, such beautiful surroundings on a beautiful boat. There’s a full description of Marilyn mayfly on their site and everything you need to know about the boat you just need to take the time to read and educate yourself, of cause a full lesson is given prior to your journey which is very informative. Cannot wait to book Marilyn mayfly again.
