    I honestly wish I could give this place less than 1 star, my grandfather is a resident here and there has been 11 different accidents where he has been left unattended. We have been told that he is doing incredibly well, super responsive and it’s overall a healthy man. I saw my grandfather as of recently, he has no level of mobility, he is incapable of forming full words let alone sentences, they have neglected him to the point his toes and hands have curled over. He has been left unattended without staff ever since due to this he is currently in hospital after having a fall, smashing his head off a door frame and splitting his head whilst being left you lay in a pool of his own blood. They now refuse to show us the cctv footage of the accident because the believe the same man who struggles to sit himself up let alone move his legs into a comfortable place is the same man who the care assistant said and I quote “he stood on his toes like Fred flint stone and ran through a hall way”. Whatever you do please stay as far away from this home as possible!

    From what I have observed the staff work professionally in what is a challenging sector. Their communications with me, who has a stepfather in the home, have been excellent. The home is clean. As far as I can see people cared for are provided with self determination and freedom to a level which doesn't jeopardise their safety.

    My mother was admitted in July. Obviously this was a very stressful time for the family as mum is unaware of her need for help. Her room is lovely and the staff have all been fantastic. I phone every other day to speak to mum and there is never a problem getting through or having a chat with a staff member who all seem to really know her and care for her. Thank you to all involved for easing a very difficult situation.

    I have worked at the Mayflower for 8 years starting out as a HCA and have worked my way up within the company to Deputy Manager. The home is very welcoming with good experienced staff who work hard to support residents and their families. Fantastic CQC report which makes me proud to work with such dedicated people.

    the staff are very caring and give friendly attention to all the residents.they do lots of activities with them.the food is lovely and fresh and home cooked.one of the best homes in the area.I would definitely recommend it
