maxability is a fantastic artist studio - amazing friendly caring knowledgeable staff and tutors, fully stocked with all equipment your heart can desire. A fun friendly learning, creative environment full of likeminded students of all abilities. Tutors help you bring your imagination and creations to life and encourage maximum creativity - no dream or experiment to big. Everyone feels like family in a nurturing creative understanding and respectful studio space. Maxibility is like Narnia, unbelievable things happen in a short time, once you step in there, whilst time seems to stands still. The founders Anita & Emeil Woolfe has created the most incredible community space.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to their open day recently. The work on show is fantastic, high quality and very creative. Meeting individuals who created the work was great, hearing the inspiration behind their creations. Lovely team who run Maxability. If you want to learn pottery then get in touch with them. Come and have a go you never know you might like it and discover a talent you never knew you had. The organisation specifically set up to support Disabled people to learn skills in ceramics but is open to all.

I’ve done a beginners course here and an intermediate course. The tutors are great, the course and facilities are great. The equipment means the pottery always turns out great, they have great glazes. I wouldn’t want to go elsewhere.

I love the classes here, the tutors are really knowledgeable and helpful, and you can work on whatever you want at your own level. The other students are friendly and there’s a lovely atmosphere. It is great to have a chance to be creative and to play with clay.

I have been taking pottery lessons at Maxability for three months. Really enjoyed myself - the tutors are knowledgeable and friendly. The space itself is light and comfortable and wheelchair accessible. The classes are open to all and are inclusive to neuro-diverse students or thise with learning needs. What I love is the way tutors guide all students gently into making their decisions and owning their projects Everyone gets some 1:1 attention. Fees include all materials and you will proudly owned a piece (or two!) of pottery made by your own two hands. You just need to pay a small extra if you want the pieces fired. They also offer taster classes if you want to give it a go. I can confidently say the rates they are charging is the lowest in London and you are also supporting such a worthwhile charity.

We had a great time on a Saturday pottery workshop at Maxability. Our tutor, James, was really helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and it was such good fun. The demonstrations were clear and everything was so well organised and the afternoon was really well timed. We all experienced 2 different techniques and finished 2 separate pieces in 3hours. Remarkable really as we are all beginners! Thank you so much. Looking forward to the next course :-)
